Overtone flutes exist around the world. This “model” comes from Scandinavia. A seasonal instrument, they are traditionally made from new willow branches when the freshly flowing sap renders the bark easily removable in the spring. These flutes are made of PVC tubing, upon which Ken has developed a faux bark finish. This material allows the willow flute sound to be enjoyed year round.
